The only help file that comes with this program is this PDF manual, and this is an issue which could definitely use some work by Butel. The scanner seems nice, but I have to say that I am a bit put out at having paid for a product, I am directed in the instructions to download paid software to go with it. Also I tried real quickly to find help in user help screen but saw nothing about the entire Global Settings on quick look. I did not post a screen shot as I did not think it was needed that badly here. I have had some cable drivers look great without reboot and never work and either this one or another I just loaded did just that but again I was on autopilot. If you decide to reload drivers remove cable from system, remove driver, reload driver, reboot system (some cable drivers do not setup properly without reboot), then plug in cable for system to install it. Before you started trying to load to scanner did you test cable communictions by loading the scanner to the computer? Perhaps you did not properly load the driver or use the correct driver for win7. Just wondering, evidently your scanner was working before, so you had gotten something in it.
That does not explain why someone else trying to load file got no scan lists enabled though so something else may yet be going on. I have been there also but it was always cleared by a reload again. I do work as a user with lots of computer configuration programs for equipment etc and sometimes I get on auto pilot.īTW: On the original post " After upload is done scanner reboots and show message "File system initialized to defaults". I do not remember having to go there and set lists on they to best of my memory were all on by default so this may not help your problem. Once settings are how you wish click Apply radio button.Also note the defalt scan list should be 1.When global opens in main window select tab for scan lists to make selections.Look in the bottom left corner of screen for Global Settings radio button and click it.I don't want to take someone else's help session away from them but perhaps that is a difference in versions of the software or maybe even in being so familiar with it you are just clicking.
